Brother Armin Luistro, Department of Education Secretary, delivered a very inspiring message to the 4,700 teachers who came from Regions 1, 2, 3 and Cordillera Administrative Region during the National Teachers’ Day Celebration held at Araullo University at Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija last October 5.

The Secretary said, “If all the teachers in the country start to move as one, we will start the biggest revolution in education. The revolution in education is a revolution that will change the country and bring about all of the dreams and hopes of our young people. If you want to transform our country, we need living heroes and you are the ones.“  Furthermore, he emphasized the vital role of the teacher by stating;” Ang mga Filipino lamang ang tumitingin sa kinang sa gitna ng kadiliman…at ang pilipinong guro lamang ang nakahandang  magdulot ng himala sa mga panahon ng kahinaan. Bawat sa inyo ay may personal na hamon pero araw-araw kayong pumupunta sa paaralan at inaalay ang iyong buhay para sa mga bata.”

The participation of Kalinga Division was coordinated by Ferdinand Edralin Ngao-i, Social Mobilization & Program coordinator.
